Ponteland

Ponteland U3A was formed in 1994 and currently has about 250 members who are retired or semi-retired.  The group have a regular monthly meeting at 2pm in St Mary’s Church Hall, Thornhill Road. Ponteland on the 1st Wednesday in the month.  At this meeting there is a short business session followed by a speaker of general interest. Also Group convenors announce the date and time of their next meetings. The afternoon finishes with a cup of tea.

There are about thirty groups attached to Ponteland U3A. Some of these meet monthly and others weekly.  Group meetings may be held in members’ houses or where numbers are too large local halls are used.  Members who join our U3A are entitled to take part in any group activities (although some may have a waiting list).
