During 2007, a group of our members were involved in a project, which was organised jointly by the local museum and New Writing North and entailed a great deal of creative writing and art work. It culminated in an exhibition in the museum, the publication of an anthology and a Powerpoint presentation at one of our monthly meetings.
This year members of our Geology Group have decided to enhance their study by following an OU course in addition to the regular monthly field trips. This not only provides a more structured way of gaining basic knowledge about the subject, but gives the opportunity for members unable or unwilling to scramble over rocks to join the group.
